Finally, you have to run the game from within DxWnd, do not click on the Steam-supplied shortcut.Ī couple added tweaks I've found that help:ġ. Don't forget to save your changes (DxWnd will prompt you to do that if you forget and then attempt to close the program).ġ4. I suggest you start with 1:2 and work your way up until you find the right ratio for your own machine and comfort.ġ3. Each user must experiment to find the right ratio for comfortable gaming on my core i5 machine I found that a ratio of 1:20 slowed down the camera enough for me to play the game comfortably. To slow this down, go to Edit -> Modify -> Timing tab, and on the right-hand side in the "System speed" box check the "CPU slow down" box and change the ratio to 1:X, where X is a variable number. Depending upon the speed of your CPU, you may find that when you move your cursor the camera rotation is too fast for comfort. Of course you can change those values to whatever you want.ġ2. So I centered the window and enlarged it by changing the width and height to 12, and by also clicking on the "Desktop center" radio button to the right of the width and height boxes. If everything has been set-up properly, you'd be able to see dxwnd logo at game startup and then you'd be able to play without all the issues affecting Windows 10.
